Penguicon 2012

Ruth Suehle is Director of Community Outreach in Red Hat’s Open Source Program Office. She is also executive vice-president of the Apache Software Foundation, co-chair of the Free and Open Source Software SIG in the International Game Developers Association (IGDA), and governing board member for the O3D Foundation. Ruth is a core contributor at GeekMom.com, the co-author of Raspberry Pi Hacks (O’Reilly, December 2013), and previously editor of Red Hat Magazine and opensource.com.

I am working on my BS in psychology at Walden University. There are a lot of things I enjoy. I am happy doing just about anything. My passion for distilled spirits began in college, when I realized that beer was an extremely inefficient way to get drunk.
